What the GoDaddy Reseller Program and GoDaddy Pro really give you, how the money flows, and when a white-label builder that bills clients directly fits better.
The GoDaddy Reseller Program lets you open a storefront under your own brand and sell GoDaddy's domains, hosting, email and website builder at prices you choose. GoDaddy takes the payment, can handle support for you, and pays you the gap between its wholesale price and yours. That is an easy way to earn a margin on products clients need anyway. It is a different business from selling your own website packages, where you set the price, the money lands in your account and the client logs in to your dashboard. This guide explains both models fairly so you can choose.

GoDaddy's Basic and Pro Reseller plans give you a ready-made online storefront. You buy a plan, brand the storefront with your own domain, logo, colours and layout, and it can take orders straight away. GoDaddy also offers a WordPress plugin and storefront APIs if you would rather build the shop into your own site.
What you sell is GoDaddy's catalogue: domain names, cPanel and Plesk hosting, WordPress hosting, the GoDaddy Website Builder, business email including Microsoft 365, security products and some marketing tools. You are not selling your own product. You are a branded shop window for GoDaddy's.
At the time of writing (October 2026), GoDaddy's US site lists two plans:
Prices and wholesale rates differ between GoDaddy's country sites, so check the site for your market before you work out any numbers.
You set the retail price for each product, or one global markup across the whole catalogue, and you can run sales or give particular customers a discount. You cannot go below GoDaddy's wholesale rate. GoDaddy calls the gap between your price and the wholesale price your commission.
When a client buys, Wild West Domains, a GoDaddy company, handles the checkout, the contract and the payment in the background. You do not need your own merchant account. If you sell domains, you must disclose the accredited registrar, and the purchase agreement says it is on behalf of WildWestDomains.com. GoDaddy then pays your net commission, usually at the end of the month after the sale. You can take it by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque or Good as Gold (a prepaid GoDaddy account balance).
You decide who handles support. In the Reseller Control Center you can let GoDaddy look after your customers around the clock, white-labelled so they do not see GoDaddy's name. Or you can list your own phone, email or contact page and handle support yourself. GoDaddy's help pages note that this white-label support is in English only.
Clients create their accounts on your storefront, and those accounts belong to them. You get delegate access by default, so you can log in and manage their products, but a client can revoke it.
People often mix up the Reseller Program and GoDaddy Pro, and GoDaddy's own FAQ separates them. The Reseller Program lets you set your own prices and sell GoDaddy products under your brand. GoDaddy Pro gives designers and developers free tools to manage clients and sites.
The main part of GoDaddy Pro is the Hub, a free dashboard where you can:
GoDaddy Pro pays you no margin. The client pays GoDaddy directly at GoDaddy's prices and sees GoDaddy's brand. You earn from your own design and maintenance fees. For a freelancer whose clients already use GoDaddy, it is a sensible free tool. It just is not a reselling business.
GoDaddy also has an API reseller route for companies that want to sell domains and email from their own website, with their own checkout and support. That is a development project, so most small agencies skip it.

A white-label website builder turns the model around. You do not take a cut of someone else's retail price. You pay the platform at agency terms and sell your own packages at your own prices. The client never sees the vendor: they log in to your dashboard, get your emails and pay your invoices.
Here is how the agency side works on WebNewBiz. It is our product, so weigh that accordingly.
There are honest limits. WebNewBiz is younger and smaller than Duda, GoHighLevel or Webflow's agency programmes, with a much smaller app ecosystem and community. Agency pricing is not published, so you have to ask. The AI first draft still needs your edits, photos and facts. And if domains, email and Microsoft 365 seats are most of what you sell, GoDaddy offers a wider range of those than any website builder. The full feature list is on our white-label website builder for agencies page.
| Question | GoDaddy Pro | GoDaddy Reseller | White-label builder (WebNewBiz) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost to you | Free | $53.88 or $89.88 for year one, then $8.99 or $14.99 a month (US, October 2026) | Agency pricing on request |
| What you sell | Your own services; the client buys GoDaddy products | GoDaddy domains, hosting, email, website builder and security | Your own packages: websites, plus store, CRM and funnels depending on plan |
| Who sets the price | GoDaddy | You, above GoDaddy's wholesale floor | You |
| Who takes the payment | GoDaddy | Wild West Domains (GoDaddy), which pays you commission | Your own Stripe or PayPal |
| When you are paid | When you invoice your own work | Usually the end of the following month | On your payment provider's payout schedule |
| What the client sees | GoDaddy | Your storefront brand, with Wild West Domains named in the agreement | Your brand, dashboard domain, emails and invoices |
| Who supports the client | GoDaddy, plus you | GoDaddy (white-label, English only) or you | You, backed by the vendor's 24/7 chat and an account manager |
| Best for | Freelancers whose clients already use GoDaddy | Extra income from domains, hosting and email with little admin | Agencies selling websites and growth tools as their own monthly product |
Reselling GoDaddy is a margin business. GoDaddy's help pages describe your profit as units sold multiplied by what you charge above wholesale, minus the cost of your reseller plan. Two things limit it.
Here is a quick example with round numbers (not GoDaddy's actual rates). If a product costs you $10 a month wholesale and you sell it for $13, you keep $3 per client per month. Twenty clients bring in $60 a month before you pay for the plan. That helps, but it will not pay an agency's bills on its own.
A white-label builder is a package business. You set one price for a package such as website, hosting, lead management and monthly edits, and the platform cost per client is just one line inside that price. Your work, support and advice are part of the price, so you do not invoice them separately. Our roundup of the best website reseller programmes compares how different platforms handle this.
The timing of payments is different too. With GoDaddy, January's commission usually arrives at the end of February. With your own Stripe or PayPal account, the client's payment follows your provider's normal payout timing, and you can take a setup fee up front.
For most agencies this matters more than the margin.
In the GoDaddy Reseller Program, your brand is on the storefront, but the client's agreement is with Wild West Domains, the products are GoDaddy's, and the client owns the account. That is fine for domains and email, which clients should own in their own name anyway. It is less comfortable for the website and the leads it brings in, and that is the part you want clients to stay with you for.
With a white-label builder, the client signs up to your package, pays you, logs in at your domain and gets your invoices. When they want a change, they come to you. That direct relationship is what keeps recurring revenue steady.
The catch is that you take on more work. When you take the payment, you also deal with refunds, failed cards, disputes and the tax on your invoices, and clients bring their problems to you first. GoDaddy's model handles all of that for you. Be honest about which job you want.
Ask every platform how a client's site would move if you parted ways. With WebNewBiz, content and domains can move, but a site cannot be exported as files to another host, so the layout would have to be rebuilt.
You can also do both. Keep domains and email with a registrar you trust, and sell websites and growth tools as your own branded package. The same split comes up in our Wix Partner Program comparison.
What is the GoDaddy Reseller Program?
It is a branded storefront where you sell GoDaddy's domains, hosting, email and website builder at prices you set above GoDaddy's wholesale rates. Wild West Domains, a GoDaddy company, takes the payment, and GoDaddy pays you the difference as commission.
How much does the GoDaddy Reseller Program cost?
At the time of writing (October 2026), GoDaddy's US site lists Basic Reseller at $53.88 for the first year, then $8.99 a month, and Pro Reseller at $89.88 for the first year, then $14.99 a month. Prices vary by country.
Is GoDaddy Pro the same as the Reseller Program?
No. GoDaddy Pro is a free set of tools, centred on the Hub dashboard, for managing client sites and GoDaddy accounts. It has no storefront and no margin. The Reseller Program is paid and lets you sell GoDaddy products at your own prices.
Who supports GoDaddy reseller customers?
You choose. GoDaddy can support your customers around the clock under your brand, in English only, or you can list your own contact details and handle support yourself.
Is a white-label website builder better than reselling GoDaddy?
It depends on what you sell. For domains and email, the GoDaddy Reseller Program is simple and needs little effort. For websites sold as a monthly service, a white-label builder lets you set the package, take payment into your own Stripe or PayPal and keep clients on your own branded dashboard.
If you want to own the package, the price and the client login, talk to us about white-label. Agency pricing is not published, so a conversation is how you get real numbers, and there is no obligation.
