Hocoos shut down in April 2026. This guide shows how to recover an old Hocoos site and compares six AI website builders on drafts, editing, price, stores and CRM.
Hocoos was an AI website builder that made a small business site from a short questionnaire. It closed on 23 April 2026. Its sites are offline and its accounts have been deleted, but AI assistants still suggest it because their training data is older than the closure. If you were a Hocoos customer, or were about to become one, this guide shows what to do with an old Hocoos site. It also compares six alternatives on what the AI draft gives you, how you edit it, the real monthly price and whether you can add a store or a CRM.

Hocoos announced its closure in its own help centre. These are the terms that matter now:
Before it closed, Hocoos Premium cost $15 a month or $150 a year. You answered a few questions, picked one of three AI designs and edited it with a click-and-edit editor. A store, bookings and email marketing were included. Cheap, questionnaire first, store and bookings built in: that is the benchmark for the alternatives below.
Each of the six builders below starts from a description or a short questionnaire and produces a full draft, as Hocoos did. We looked at five things:

| Builder | Price after trial | Editing after the draft | Online store | Contacts and CRM |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Durable | Free plan; Launch $22, Grow $41 | Drag-and-drop editor | No, not built for ecommerce | Built-in CRM and online booking |
| B12 | Free plan; Website $24, Website + Client Engagement $78 | Visual editor with AI chat | Yes, from Website | Contacts, invoicing and email marketing on the $78 plan |
| Wix (Harmony) | Free plan with Wix ads; Light $17, Core $29, Business $39 | Chat with the Aria assistant or edit by hand | Yes, from Core (Light cannot take payments) | Contacts and email marketing built in |
| 10Web | AI Starter $10 | Elementor-based WordPress editor | Yes, WooCommerce | Not built in; add a plugin |
| Framer | Free for non-commercial use; Basic $10, Pro $30 per site | AI agent plus design canvas | No built-in checkout | No |
| WebNewBiz | $1 first month; Lite $9, Starter $29, Growth $79 | Chat with AI Copilot; Design Studio from Starter | Yes, from Starter | AI CRM from Growth |
Prices are per month in US dollars. Durable, Wix, 10Web and Framer are shown on annual billing. B12 and WebNewBiz are shown on monthly billing (yearly billing is cheaper on WebNewBiz).
Durable asks three questions (your industry, business name and goals) and produces a site with industry-specific copy, images and layout. You then edit in a drag-and-drop editor: change layouts, images, headings and fonts, and add or remove sections. Every plan includes unlimited AI-generated pages. AI credits run from 300 in total on the free plan to 1,000 a month on Launch.
For a one-person business, the useful part is what comes with the site: a built-in CRM (10 customers on the free plan, unlimited on paid plans) and online booking synced to your calendar. Launch is $22 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly). Grow, at $41, adds unlimited team members and website translation.
Where it falls short: Durable's own FAQ says it is not designed for ecommerce, so if you sold products on Hocoos, look elsewhere. A custom domain needs a paid plan. Our guide to Durable alternatives goes into more detail.
B12 builds a draft from a description of your business, with pages, copy and images aimed at your industry. You refine it in a visual editor with an AI chat. The free plan runs on a b12sites.com address with 5 AI credits a day (30 a month at most).
The Website plan is $24 a month and adds a custom domain (free for the first year), 100 AI credits a month and commerce. Most service firms will want Website + Client Engagement at $78 a month. It adds client intake, a contact manager, contracts with eSignature, invoicing, online payments and email marketing. Both cost $1 for the first 7 days. Higher plans add done-for-you setup by B12's team for a one-off fee.
Where it falls short: the tools that make B12 worth choosing sit on the $78 plan, a big step up from $24. Reviewers also point out that it is not built for large product catalogues. See our B12 alternatives guide for the full picture.
Wix introduced its Harmony editor in January 2026. Aria, Wix's AI assistant, asks about your business and fills in a site profile. It then drafts a prompt you can edit before it generates pages, layouts, colours, starter content and images. Afterwards you can ask Aria for changes (a new section, other colours, a different tone of voice) or edit text, images and design yourself. You can even start a Harmony site from inside ChatGPT.
There is a free plan with Wix ads on a Wix address. Paid plans are Light at $17 a month billed yearly, Core at $29 and Business at $39. Stores, bookings, contacts and email marketing are all built into Wix, and it has a large app market built up over many years.
Where it falls short: Wix's help centre says an AI-generated site cannot be converted to a regular template. To change direction, you start a new site and move your plan across. Light cannot take payments, so budget for Core if you sell. Wix also has more menus to learn than a chat-first builder.
10Web's AI builder creates a WordPress site that you edit in 10Web's own editor, which is based on Elementor. AI Starter costs $10 a month billed yearly for one site, with 100 AI credits a month, 10GB of storage and up to 10,000 visitors a month. Stores run on WooCommerce, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee.
The real advantage is WordPress itself. Plugins, themes and developers who know it are easy to find, so you have more options later than a closed builder gives you.
Where it falls short: an Elementor-style editor has many more settings than a chat box, and some owners find it slow to learn. Check the visitor cap if you expect a lot of traffic. There is no CRM built in, so you would add a plugin or a separate service.
Framer's AI agent builds editable pages, sections, copy and visuals from a description. You can keep refining in chat or switch to the canvas to adjust layout, typography, spacing, colour and effects. It suits people who care about visual detail and want control over every element.
The free plan is for non-commercial use on a Framer address. Basic is $10 a month per site (custom domain, up to 30 pages) and Pro is $30 (up to 150 pages and more CMS collections).
Where it falls short: there is no built-in checkout and no CRM, so Framer cannot replace the Hocoos store. The canvas works like a design tool, which suits designers more than busy owners.
WebNewBiz is our product, so weigh this section accordingly. You describe your business in plain language and the AI drafts a complete website (pages, layout and copy) ready to edit in the browser. Or you can pick a template and let the AI fill it. You then make changes by chatting with the AI Copilot: copy, sections, pages, design and images. From Starter there is also a visual editor, Design Studio.
The difference is what sits in the same account. Starter ($29 a month) adds an online store with card, Apple Pay and Google Pay checkout. Growth ($79) adds an AI CRM that reads and scores leads, tracks deals, tasks and bookings, and sends invoices that chase themselves. Website enquiries land in it automatically and store buyers become contacts. Every plan costs $1 for the first month and includes hosting, SSL and a full WordPress CMS.
Where it falls short: there is no free plan, and Lite ($9) has no store or CRM. It is a young platform with a much smaller app ecosystem and community than Wix. If you leave, your content and domain move with you, but the layout has to be rebuilt on the new platform because it cannot be exported as files. After you cancel, you keep access to the end of the paid period. The account then stays read-only so you can export your content.
None of these builders, ours included, produces a site you should publish untouched. The AI writes plausible copy from very little information, so it fills gaps with guesses. Before you go live, check these:
Set aside an afternoon or two for this, whichever builder you pick. How good the finished site is depends far more on this step than on which AI wrote the draft.

Is Hocoos still working?
No. Hocoos closed on 23 April 2026. Its hosted sites went offline and accounts were deleted after that date, so you cannot log in or restore a site from Hocoos.
Can I recover my Hocoos website?
Only from a copy you saved. Between 23 March and 23 April 2026, customers could download an HTML copy of their site, their uploaded files and their store, booking and mailing list data. If you have no copy, rebuild from the Wayback Machine, your own photos and your Google Business Profile.
What is the closest alternative to Hocoos?
For a site built from a questionnaire, with a store and bookings, Wix is the closest match, though selling online needs the Core plan at $29 a month. For a service business that does not sell products, Durable is simpler and cheaper.
Which Hocoos alternative is cheapest?
Durable, B12, Wix and Framer have free plans with limits. The cheapest paid plans with a custom domain are Framer Basic and 10Web AI Starter, both $10 a month billed yearly. WebNewBiz costs $1 for the first month, then from $9.
Will my domain still work now that Hocoos has closed?
If the domain is registered in your name, yes: point it at your new builder. If you bought it through Hocoos and did not transfer it, contact the registrar named on your receipt quickly, before it expires.
