How Vendasta's monthly minimums, contracts and wholesale prices work, with real costs at 10, 25 and 50 clients and a checklist for the live pricing page.
Vendasta's pricing page says the platform can cost $0 a month. That is true, but only in a narrow sense. Each plan has a monthly minimum of $99, $499 or $999, and the platform fee only falls to $0 when you buy at least that much qualifying wholesale product from Vendasta. This guide explains how the offset works, what the products cost wholesale and what an agency really pays at 10, 25 and 50 clients. Prices are in US dollars at the time of writing (October 2026).

Vendasta has four tiers. Each one shows a $0 subscription with a monthly minimum spend underneath.
| Plan | Monthly minimum | Contract | Seats included (extra seat) | Snapshot Reports a month | Client portal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99 | None, billed monthly | 1 ($30/month) | 10 | Co-branded |
| Professional | $499 | 1 year, billed monthly | 5 ($35/month) | 25 | White-label |
| Premium | $999 | 1 year, billed monthly | 10 ($65/month) | 50 | White-label, multi-location |
| Custom Enterprise | Quoted by sales | 1 year, monthly or annual billing | Custom | Custom | Custom |
Every tier includes unlimited client accounts and client users, and you set your own price for the client-facing Business App. Extra Snapshot Reports (the prospecting audits agencies send to leads) cost $2 each, and unused ones expire each month. Seats are only charged as overages if that person opens a Vendasta page within a 90-day window. There is a free 14-day trial with no card required.
The simplest way to read it: each month you pay the larger of your plan's minimum or your qualifying wholesale spend, plus anything that sits outside the offset, such as extra seats, extra reports and non-qualifying products.
Vendasta's own examples for Professional show this. Resell $499 or more of qualifying products and the platform fee is $0. Resell $300 and the fee is $199. Resell nothing and you pay the full $499. Each qualifying dollar comes off the fee, down to a floor of $0.
The rules that catch agencies out:
The profit calculator on Vendasta's pricing page lists these wholesale prices. They are per location, per month, so a client with three branches costs three times as much.
| Product | Wholesale per location, per month |
|---|---|
| Conversations AI Premium | $79 |
| WordPress Hosting Premium | $65 |
| Reputation AI Premium | $35 |
| Yesware Premium seat | $35 |
| Campaigns Pro Base | $16.50 |
| Social Marketing Pro | $15 |
| Local SEO Pro | $11.50 |
You are billed the wholesale price at the time of purchase, so check the current list in Partner Center before you print a price sheet. Prices for third-party Marketplace products and many done-for-you services are only visible inside the platform or by quote.

Divide the minimum by what each client spends wholesale, then round up. These are the client numbers at which the platform fee reaches $0, using the prices above.
| What each client buys (wholesale a month) | Starter ($99) | Professional ($499) | Premium ($999) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local SEO Pro only ($11.50) | 9 clients | 44 clients | 87 clients |
| Local SEO Pro and Social Marketing Pro ($26.50) | 4 clients | 19 clients | 38 clients |
| Reputation AI Premium, Local SEO Pro and Social Marketing Pro ($61.50) | 2 clients | 9 clients | 17 clients |
| The same three plus WordPress Hosting Premium ($126.50) | 1 client | 4 clients | 8 clients |
Below those numbers you are paying for access you are not reselling. On Professional with the $26.50 bundle, 10 clients spend $265, the fee is $234, and your real cost is $49.90 per client rather than $26.50. Vendasta puts it in its own terms: Starter is met with about one AI Workforce package deployed, Professional with about three and Premium with about six.
The assumptions, so you can swap in your own numbers:
| Monthly figures | 10 clients | 25 clients | 50 clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plan in this example | Professional | Professional | Premium |
| Monthly minimum | $499 | $499 | $999 |
| Wholesale spend | $615.00 | $1,537.50 | $3,075.00 |
| Platform fee after offset | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Client revenue at $199 each | $1,990.00 | $4,975.00 | $9,950.00 |
| Card fees | $60.71 | $151.78 | $303.55 |
| Left before labour and overheads | $1,314.29 | $3,285.72 | $6,571.45 |
Once you clear a minimum, the higher tier costs nothing extra. At 10 clients, $615 of spend clears both Starter and Professional, so either plan costs $615. The question is no longer price but whether the white-label portal and four extra seats are worth a 12-month contract. At 50 clients the same applies to Premium: it costs the same as Professional and includes ten seats, which saves $175 a month if a team of ten would otherwise need five extra seats on Professional.
The margin does not grow with scale. It stays at about 66% at 10, 25 and 50 clients, because each client adds the same wholesale cost. With a flat platform fee, the cost per client falls as you grow. At Vendasta's standard prices it stays fixed, unless you negotiate volume pricing on Custom Enterprise.
Churn hurts more on the bigger tiers. Say the 25-client agency picked Premium and later dropped to eight clients. Eight clients spend $492, so the platform fee becomes $507 and the bill stays at $999 until the contract ends. On Starter, the same eight clients would cost $492.
Budget for month one. On Professional you pay $499 at signing plus the products you switch on, so a 10-client agency moving over in one go should expect about $1,114 for the first month.
Keep three numbers apart, because sales calls and reviews often blur them:
Payment fees deserve their own line. A Vendasta-created Stripe account costs 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction with no extra platform fee. If you connect your own Stripe account instead, the account and its history stay yours, but Vendasta adds 0.75% per transaction on top of Stripe's own charges: about $75 a month on $9,950 of client billing. At the time of writing that option is only open to new users; once you have processed a payment through a Vendasta-created account you cannot switch. Card statements show 'Vendasta' by default, so enter your business name as the statement descriptor during setup.
Third-party Marketplace products can still earn you a healthy margin, but they do nothing for your minimum. If your best sellers are third-party, the platform fee may not fall as far as the headline suggests.
Old figures are still everywhere, which is a big part of the confusion:
So a review quoting '$499 a month' may describe a flat subscription that no longer works that way, and one quoting $749 is more than two years old. The pricing page has changed several times, so always read the live version and get your terms in writing.
Vendasta is a strong fit if you sell a wide menu of local marketing products (reputation, listings, social posting, email campaigns, AI tools) to many single-location businesses and want done-for-you services you can resell. Unlimited client accounts, Snapshot Reports for prospecting, Yesware on Professional and above, and multi-location features on Premium are genuinely useful at volume. If your qualifying spend will comfortably clear $499 or $999 every month, the minimum costs you nothing extra and the breadth is hard to match.
It fits less well if you mainly build websites, if your client numbers are small or uneven, or if you would rather not sign for 12 months before you know what sells. Reviewers also tend to describe a steeper learning curve than simpler platforms.
The main alternatives charge in a different way. Our list of Vendasta alternatives for agencies covers more; here are three.
With WebNewBiz you create your own packages (recurring, one-off or free; weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly; with an optional setup fee and in several currencies), list them on your own storefront page and take client payments through your own Stripe or PayPal account, so the money goes to you. Clients log in to a dashboard on your domain, such as app.youragency.com, with your name, logo and colours on the login page, invites, emails and invoice PDFs. Each client site is drafted by AI from a short description and edited by chat, with an online store, AI CRM and funnels depending on the plan you sell. Read how the white-label website builder for agencies and the white-label CRM for agencies work.
The honest limits: WebNewBiz is younger and smaller than Duda or GoHighLevel, it has nothing like Vendasta's marketplace of resold products and services, and agency pricing is not published, so you have to ask. The AI first draft also still needs each client's own photos and facts.
How much does Vendasta cost per month?
At the time of writing (October 2026), Starter has a $99 monthly minimum, Professional $499 and Premium $999, with Custom Enterprise quoted by sales. The subscription shows as $0, but you pay at least the minimum each month through platform fees, qualifying wholesale purchases or a mix of both.
Is Vendasta free?
Not in the usual sense. The platform fee falls to $0 only when your qualifying wholesale spend meets your plan's minimum, and each qualifying dollar reduces the fee by a dollar. The first month's fee is charged at signing. There is a free 14-day trial with no card required.
Does Vendasta require a contract?
Starter is billed monthly with no contract. Professional and Premium are billed monthly on a one-year contract, which commits you to at least $5,988 or $11,988 over the year. Custom Enterprise is also a one-year contract.
What counts towards the Vendasta monthly minimum?
Qualifying Vendasta products such as Conversations AI, Reputation AI, Social Marketing, Campaigns Pro, WordPress Hosting, Local SEO, Yesware Premium and Vendasta services. Third-party Marketplace products, MatchCraft managed services and legacy products do not count, and spend above the minimum does not roll over.
Can I use my own Stripe account with Vendasta?
New users can connect their own Stripe account, but Vendasta adds a 0.75% platform fee per transaction on top of Stripe's fees. A Vendasta-created account has no platform fee and costs 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. You cannot switch once you have processed payments through a Vendasta-created account.
How many clients do I need before the Vendasta platform fee is $0?
Divide the minimum by each client's monthly wholesale spend and round up. With a $61.50 bundle of Reputation AI Premium, Local SEO Pro and Social Marketing Pro, it takes 2 clients on Starter, 9 on Professional and 17 on Premium. With a $26.50 bundle it takes 4, 19 and 38.
