Wix Studio's workspace is free, but every client site needs its own plan. Here is what 10, 25 or 50 clients cost, what Wix pays back and who owns the billing.
Wix Studio has no agency price list. The workspace is free. You pay for each client site when you upgrade it to a Studio plan, which costs $19 to $159 a month on yearly billing (US prices at the time of writing, October 2026). Wix then pays partners a share of qualifying plan sales. This guide adds up what a book of 10, 25 or 50 clients costs and earns. It explains who ends up owning each client's billing, and compares that with a white-label setup where you resell under your own brand, domain and prices.

Wix Studio is the agency side of Wix: a workspace where your team builds, hands over and manages client sites. Wix's help centre says plainly that no additional payment is required to use it. There is no seat fee, no agency tier and no agency price list.
The cost arrives site by site. You can build and preview a site for free, and a free site gets up to 5 collaborator seats. But to connect the client's domain, remove Wix branding or take payments, each site needs its own Studio plan. Your Wix bill therefore grows in a straight line with your client list.
These are the Studio plans listed on Wix's Studio plans page at the time of writing. Prices are in US dollars per month on yearly billing, paid in full up front:
| Studio plan | Price per month | Takes payments | External collaborators | Media storage | CMS items |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $19 | No | 3 | 10 GB | 1,500 |
| Standard | $27 | Yes | 5 | 50 GB | 4,000 |
| Plus | $34 | Yes | 10 | 120 GB | 20,000 |
| Elite | $159 | Yes | 100 | Unlimited | 10 million |
Three details matter for agencies. First, Basic cannot take payments, so any client who sells, takes deposits or charges for bookings needs Standard or above. Second, monthly billing costs noticeably more, and it earns no revenue share. Third, Wix's own pages have not always agreed on prices in 2026: one of its August 2026 blog posts quotes Basic at $17, Standard at $29 and Plus at $39. Check the price at checkout. For the client mix used later in this guide, the difference is under 2%.
Above Elite sits Enterprise, priced by quote, which adds centralised billing, single sign-on and multi-site management. Most small and mid-sized agencies will not need it.
This catches agencies out. A Studio workspace can hold two kinds of site, and they use different plans that cannot be swapped:
So if a client already pays for a Wix Premium plan, they cannot just carry it over to a new Studio site. Wix lets you upgrade that plan to a comparable or higher Studio plan of the same length or longer. You only get credit for unused time if the original plan was bought in the same Wix account. The bigger difference is the revenue share: most partners earn nothing on Premium plans.
The Wix Partner Program is how an agency earns back part of what its clients spend on plans. At the time of writing, Wix's help centre lists these rates for plans billed yearly, every two years or every three years:
| Plan type | All partners | Legend partners |
|---|---|---|
| Studio plans (Studio Editor sites) | 20% | 30% |
| Premium plans (Wix Editor and Harmony sites) | 0% | 20% |
The conditions are where the money leaks, so read them before you build a business case on the share:
Legend is the top of four partner levels (Pioneer, Creator, Icon, Legend) and starts at 5,000 points. Wix's partner terms award 100 points for each premium site you build and add to your account, plus points for certifications. That makes Legend roughly a 50-site milestone.
You also get a small share of client sales made through Wix Payments (including Wix POS): 0.05% on days with $2,000 or less in sales, and 0.10% on days above that. A client selling $500 a day earns you about $91 a year. Pleasant, but not a business model.

To keep the maths honest, assume a typical small-business book. 60% of clients have a brochure site on Basic ($19), and 40% take payments or bookings on Standard ($27). Every plan is yearly, every site was created in your workspace, you pay Wix yourself, and nothing was bought in a sale, so every plan qualifies for the share.
| Client book | Plans per month | Plans per year | 20% share back | Net yearly cost | Net at Legend (30%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 clients (6 Basic, 4 Standard) | $222 | $2,664 | $533 | $2,131 | $1,865 |
| 25 clients (15 Basic, 10 Standard) | $555 | $6,660 | $1,332 | $5,328 | $4,662 |
| 50 clients (30 Basic, 20 Standard) | $1,110 | $13,320 | $2,664 | $10,656 | $9,324 |
Yearly plans are paid in full when you buy them. A 25-client book means paying out $6,660 over the year, and each renewal falls on the anniversary of that client's upgrade.
Now the earning side. As an example only, suppose you charge each client a $49 monthly care plan that covers their Wix plan, small edits and support:
| Client book | Care plan income per year | Net Wix cost (20% share) | Left before your time |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 clients | $5,880 | $2,131 | $3,749 |
| 25 clients | $14,700 | $5,328 | $9,372 |
| 50 clients | $29,400 | $10,656 | $18,744 |
That works out at about $31 per client per month before your time, whatever the size of the book, because the Wix cost rises with every client. A single hour of edits a month can eat it. Price the care plan from the hours clients actually use, not from the Wix plan price. Our guide to monthly website care plans for clients walks through setting the tiers.
If clients pay Wix directly instead, your plan cost drops to zero and you still get the share. Your care plan then has to justify itself on service alone.
This choice shapes the whole client relationship. Wix Studio gives you three practical routes.
Routes 2 and 3 are tidy and low-risk, but they make the client a Wix customer first and your customer second. If they leave you, the site, the plan and the billing stay with them and with Wix. Route 1 keeps you in the middle, but you are reselling a product whose retail price anyone can look up. That is why charging for care and support usually works better than marking up the plan.
With Wix Studio's custom branding, your logo appears on client invitation emails, on each client's site dashboard and on the banner of free sites you publish. A square version goes on client kits and invoices. You can also send clients automated monthly performance reports and a handover kit.
It is a useful touch, but it is not white-label. Clients still log in to Wix, Wix's name is on the account, and Wix's pricing pages are a search away. Agencies on Wix's own community forum point out that clients still use the Wix dashboard for stats and settings. For many agencies that is fine, and clients who know the name may find it reassuring. But if your model depends on clients seeing only your brand, it is a real limit.
A white-label platform flips the model. You do not buy a published retail plan for each site and wait for a share back. Instead you get wholesale access and sell your own packages at prices you set. WebNewBiz works this way, and this is what its agency setup includes:
The maths changes shape. There is no revenue share to qualify for and no payout threshold. Your margin is your price minus your wholesale cost, and you collect it yourself. There are honest catches, though. WebNewBiz does not publish agency pricing, so you cannot run this page's tables for it without a conversation. It is a younger, smaller platform than Wix, and its agency programme is smaller than those of Duda, GoHighLevel or Webflow. Its app ecosystem is much smaller too. And the AI's first draft still needs real photos, facts and your own edits. The page on our white-label website builder for agencies has the full feature list.
| What matters | Wix Studio | White-label (WebNewBiz) |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | Free workspace | Agency pricing by quote, not published |
| Cost per client site | Studio plan, $19-159 a month on yearly billing | Wholesale cost agreed with WebNewBiz |
| Who sets the client's price | Wix sets a public price; you charge for services on top | You, through your own packages |
| Where client payments go | To Wix, or to you if you rebill | To your own Stripe or PayPal |
| Your income from the platform | 20% of qualifying yearly Studio plans (30% at Legend) | Your full margin |
| What clients see | Your logo inside a Wix account | Your brand on your own dashboard domain |
| Design control | Very high, with a developer platform and a large app market | AI drafts, chat editing and a visual editor; smaller ecosystem |
| Extras to resell | Wix business apps, per site plan | Store, AI CRM and funnels, per the package you sell |
| Maturity | Large, established platform | Younger and smaller |

Is Wix Studio free for agencies?
The workspace is free: Wix says no additional payment is required to use Wix Studio. You pay per client site, when that site needs a Studio plan to connect a domain, remove Wix branding or take payments.
How much does a Wix Studio site plan cost?
At the time of writing (October 2026), Wix's Studio plans page lists Basic at $19, Standard at $27, Plus at $34 and Elite at $159 a month on yearly billing in the US. Basic cannot take payments. Enterprise is priced by quote.
How much revenue share does Wix pay agencies?
All partners get 20% on qualifying Studio plans billed yearly or longer, and partners at the top Legend level get 30%. Most partners earn nothing on Premium plans for Wix Editor sites (Legend partners get 20%). Monthly plans, seasonal sale purchases and public coupon purchases do not qualify.
Can I charge clients my own price for a Wix Studio plan?
Not through a payment request, where the client pays Wix's own price directly. You can buy the plan yourself and invoice the client any amount, but Wix's prices are public, so most of your margin has to come from services.
Can Wix Studio be fully white-labelled?
No. Your logo appears in client emails, client dashboards and invoices, but clients still log in to a Wix account. For your own dashboard domain, your own prices and payments into your own account, you need a white-label platform such as WebNewBiz.
Do you resell websites and want clients to see only your brand, pay your prices and pay into your own account? Then talk to us about white-label, and we will walk you through the agency setup and wholesale pricing. If Wix Studio turns out to suit your agency better, that is a fine outcome too.
